Using Herbs To Boost Your Immune System

Healing Herbs That Are Good For Your Immune System

Your immune system needs certain things to run properly and help your body stay healthy. Though you do need to make sure you are hydrated and calm, you also need as much assistance for natural healing as possible to help your immune system function. One way you can do this is by using healing herbs that are good for your immune system. Here are a few of those herbs, and we made sure to add them into our Pine Island Wellness 2019 Winter Detox.

Parsley

Parsley has so many nutritional benefits and is full of vitamins and minerals. It is considered a superfood. It also has anti-inflammatory properties as well as helping with immune function. It can aid in cancer prevention This herb is easy to add into cooking dishes, salads, soups, and even smoothies.

Ginger

Ginger is a root herb that is used for sore throats and stomach issues. You can use ginger in several ways including in teas, as a powder form, and in juices and smoothies. It does have a spice effect to it that gives a heat. For a fully boosting effective option, mix the ginger with orange juice to give a strong boost and toxin fighting option for your cold or flu and to boost your immune system reaction. We made sure to add ginger into our detox meals.

Mint

Mint is a calming herb. It includes over a dozen species (spearmint and peppermint are the most know). Mint can aid in digestion, help with oral hygiene and boost brain function. This herb is easy to add into smoothies or teas. For a twist we added it into a one of our dinners with a sweet potato.

Though you can get these herbs in pill or capsule form, the best option is to go with something natural. Go with a whole herb that is either fresh or grown in your own home. Keep in mind, this will give you the most benefit from the herbs for your system.
